Engraved coin....

....did I post this one here yet? Forgive me if I did, my memory isn't that great anymore.image

Anyway, I picked this one up a while back. I can't tell what type of coin it was, but the artistic style looks contemporary.

I haven't seen before must be some type of token.

On second thought it looks like maybe a personal work of art engraved on a blank.
    What is the metal ?

I really know little about it, but my first impression was also that it was an unfinished love token.

I did a little research on Thomas Bell and the chuch depicted on it. It appears to be Hexham Abbey, founded by St. Wilfrid. There are a couple of Thomas Bell listings online who lived in this period, but I have yet to find any solid links.

    I think it's silver.

Added: Yep, it's silver. I had to go and dig it out of the box and double-check.
