But for some reason didnt see it was badly cleaned. 1840-O Seated Liberty Half. I will admit that the lighting in the shop was poor and I thought the plastic on the flip was scratched up.
Well I get home in the sun and it just is so abvious. The coin has very little wear and a great die crack that runs almost around the whole obverse.
Well next time at the shop I will ask to walk outside and look at the coin.
Lesson Learned.

You should buy the Electro-Optic model M-7. It is a cheaply priced magnifier with it's own light. Not super fancy or super strong, but does a great job in those badly lit coin shops.
