There was a study done of ancients Moldavian silver coins that I thought was quite interesting. They studied the silver content with relation to political standings at the time and found some interesting facts. Warning, I am quite geeky and this is pretty technical, but there are some fun facts in here about early European silver coins if you are REALLY into detailed information.
