New Shipping Rates

To everyone on the message boards,
A couple of days ago, I responded to a post about our new shipping policy. The purpose was to confirm two main things:
1) Signatures are always required on packages sent from our facility.
2) All packages are fully insured by our own policy.
I also made a statement about the only meaningful difference between the old policy and new policy is that you, our customers, would save money based on our new rates.
It was a general statement and I should have been more precise. I apologize for any confusion.
That said, after thoroughly investigating the issue, the fact remains that the vast, vast majority of our customers are going to save money.
Before we changed our shipping method, we looked at the actual orders submitted over the past 12 months. Based on that information, we concluded that approximately 90% of the orders would benefit from the new system and our customers would save money.
So, yes, there are exceptions to the rule. Some orders will cost about the same, if not a little more, than they did before but our decision will benefit the majority of our customers.
