Question for the Ebayer sellers..

Do you cringe or not want to look at your ratings or resolution center after sending a coin to an unapproved country? I find it very hard to "find out" if my coin actually found it's way to the intended party.
Is it just me? I really feel vulnerable, but necessary to sell to anyone who will pay the money for my particular coin. I definitely am the first one to ensure that I make money, but I find that the buyers in some cases are
from a country that is iffy at best. My odds are good so far with some exceptions(Italy being one). What are your experiences? Thanks! -Dan

I do not buy or sell to China and block bidders from there. I even had one guy try to convince me to ship to an alternate addy but his email and Ebay account were from China - no sale and specifically blocked him on my blocked members list.

    So, no I don't cringe.

I've had only 4 packages go missing in over 4000 eBay transactions. One in USA delivered to the World Trade Center in NY in 1998/9; one to Ontario, Canada this past December - actually never made it to Canadian Customs; one to Paris, France in 2008; and one to London, England last July which was never claimed at British Customs and returned to me Thanksgiving weekend.

I'm the sort who's always checking status, even though it's pointless until the auction ends. But I do get a bit of nerves when I see something like what I have on one lot now - zero feedback, Russian Federation. And I actually have canceled a bid once, a zero feedback in China who didn't want to play by the rules, but I don't like having to resort to that.

You can specify what countries you do not want to ship to in your ebay preferences. It's tedious at first, but you only have to do it once. Once you've done that, ebay will not allow bidders from those countries to bid at all (supposedly). Of course, 1960NYGiants raises a valid concern about ebayers who circumvent the country of account by using an alternate address in the US. You have to deal with those on a case by case basis.

I don't ship to China because it has become the land of fakes and I do not want to contribute any more "master copies" to their cause. I also exclude Italy because of issues with lost packages. Third Party Insurance prohibits several additional countries, which I have also now excluded.
