Thoughts on this Joe Montana sig?

Real... or Memorex?

I am not familiar enough with Joe's signature to say with any certainty, but it looks suspect to me.

Thanks in advance.

who can tell... in 10 minutes I could mimick Joe's signature fairly well and I'm no expert.

  • It looks good, but like John noted, I would be extra cautious in Montana's signature as it seems like it might be easy to fake.

His "Joe" does usually look more like the first then the UDA. However, due to Motana's longtime UDA partnership, and the fact they don't go for much, I would go that route if I wanted one.

  • This UDA Montana signed Jumbo cards are fairly common and typically the cheapest Montana UDA auto to find.....they almost never go over $30.

This one is not a UDA one, a Montana Holo instead, but you can find UDA like ones at the same price. (Montana holo. is just as good of course).

    The 8x10 is a forgery.
  • I read that once someone brought a known forgery to Montana and he said it was good so I guess that's what happens when you have such a simple signature.

Not saying your wrong or anything like that, I am no Montana expert, but how can you conclude it is a forgery?

Spacing in sig. looks fine, no breaks in sig., I have seen a bunch of Montana with a couple letters or whatever after J and his Montana seems a little different in every sig.
