....either asked that President Theodore Roosevelt's portrait be placed on the National Parks quarters, or asked that the mint consider an original design for the Gettysburg Park quarter?

I have written Moy twice about Teddy, and just recently about the Gettysburg coin. I'm beginning to think just like everything else in this country we get what we deserve, then complain about it, and still do little except mouth-off to change things. Those in charge know they can do whatever they want, keep their jobs, and continue marching to their own greedy, liberal or conservative, PC, drums. A government, by the people, and for the people, we don't have because most of the people are too busy to get involved, or care, most sadly don't know history, or care about the future we will leave coming generations. We not only need Teddy on the quarter we need a president, that puts the people first, puts real people in charge of important tasks, despises hand-out politicians, and really doesn't care what his own party, or the other party thinks about him. The only way that will ever happen is if "we the people" actually start insisting on politicians that work "in the open", turn down special interest money, and think about the future beyond their next election day. As long as the mint is controlled by "politicians" and we allow it to remain that way nothing will change. Sorry 'bout the rant, I simply can't believe the joke our coinage has become..."the penny" a perfect symbol of a once great nation that is completely worthless and outdated... "the half" a coin no ones uses... the "golden dollars" that we hardly ever see and are stockpiled by the millions while we keep making more... "the nickel" that costs more to make than its worth, and oh yes Boy Scout Commemoratives with a girl on them. And finally A gettysburg quarter with artwork so small no one will have a clue what it signifies, a great opportunity to show some of the history our schools no longer teach lost to "playing it safe". I think I'll go look at my early 20th century coinage and finish reading the recent biography on Teddy Roosevelt called Wilderness Warrior". We get what we deserve, and allow....Isn't it that simple?

If you want results from a gov't agency, any agency, write to your Congressman. I learned this long ago while working for the feds and handling "congressional inquiries".

You may not get your way but you'll always get top priority and speedy, usually technically correct answers.

It's worth a shot.
