What feedback would you leave?

After 18 days I finally got my card through ebay. The seller told me that it took him a week and a half after receiving payment to ship. The card was described and I did receive it so I feel bad leaving negative or neutral feedback but It doesn't deserve positive unless I do that and give him a low score for shipping. What would you do?

  • Just lower his shipping DSR. No need for a negative, that's why they have a DSR for shipping time. Negatives are for when you don't get an item or don't get what you paid for or the seller is an a-hole.

I honestly don't think 18 days is that bad - I mean, it's not like I'm waiting for a kidney. image

I would give him a + and state boldly: A LITTLE SLOW MAILING FOR MY TASTE - or something like that.

That's what I'd do. We all slip up sometimes, and those DSR hits sound mighty painful.

I would just tag the shipping DSR. Don't know if I'd even mention shipping time in the feedback.

I would definitely put it in the feedback as a tag. When I'm waiting on an overdue package from a seller, that's the first place I'd look. Feedback is supposed to be informative to future bidders, right?

  • If he was shipping from anywhere on the east coast, 1 week to actually get it to the post office may have been out of his control.

Under normal weather conditions I would mention that the card arrived by covered wagon and horse.

OK tough guy, just asking for opinions which is what the forum is about.

you'll soon learn that this is not the place to ask for people's opinion.

but to answer your question: I would do what stone193 said, while taking into consideration weather (which was bad) international (don't know if that applies here) and what his handling time is stated on the eBay listing. Right now I am changing my handling time to 5 business days because I am in school and sometimes can't get to the post office right away.

You also might be able to negotiate a shipping refund (full or partial) if his handling time was not accurate.

    best of luck,
