eBay's new Picture Service = No photobucket?

Was just checking out some Q&A's on eBay's new picture service...and check out what they wrote.

"Pictures that are only used in item descriptions (or anywhere else) via HTML will also be permanently deleted after 100 days from the day you unsubscribe. "

http://pages.ebay.com/picture_manager/faq.html

Meaning, when you unsubscribe from the old Picture Management, which you can do manually now, or wait till the change over and everyone is unsubcribed. So I guess that means the 1500 pb photos I have html'ed in auctions are going to be blocked or something. It looks like they want to force everyone to use their new photo thing for multiple images. Storm?

***eBay Picture Manager extended until after April, 2010***

eBay is extending the shutdown period for eBay Picture Manager to after the end of April, 2010.

We've extended availability of Picture Manager to allow current subscribers additional post holiday season time to migrate to another solution for including pictures.

Pictures and picture upgrades added via eBay per-listing picture hosting are free for US Premium and US Anchor Stores sellers and to all sellers listing in the Antiques, Art, Collectibles, and Pottery&Glass categories. Picture Manager subscribers who have an upgraded Store, or who list predominantly in the above categories, can save on fees immediately by unsubscribing from Picture Manager and using per-listing picture uploads.

    Regards,
    April

The seller announcements today include a price change for eBay-hosted pictures: bundled (free) pictures (up to 12 per listing) and Picture Pack (includes Supersize/Zoom on the View Item page) will be included for Basic Stores starting on March 30th., the same as currently available for Premium and Anchor Stores.

This change enables Picture Manager subscribers who have an existing Basic Store to unsubscribe from Picture Manager any time after March 30th with no increase in picture fees--in fact a decrease in net fees, plus the addition of free Supersize/Zoom. Picture Manager subscribers who do not have an existing Store can subscribe to a Basic Store and then unsubscribe from Picture Manager after March 30th to get bundled pictures and Picture Pack plus all the other benefits of a Basic Store for one flat fee per month.
