Really like the new Lighthouse Albums for slabbed coins. Anyone else try them?

I just purchased a couple of these Lighthouse high quality binders with matching slipcovers and plastic pages to hold slabbed coins. I am very impressed with the quality of them and the way the slabs fit in the pages. They are vinyl but with very nice padding and stitching that give them a leatherette book binding look. Much nicer than the certified albums I have used in the past.
Anyone else try these and what is your opinion?

I've been thinking of picking one up linky 28 bucks per album holds 36 slabs.

ive been using those for years. I have the binder version though.

just be prepared to buy extra inserts. They scratch and scuff very easy.

Write "Family Photos" in large letters on those, and they wouldn't attract much attention in a break-in. Hm...

I had tried the Eagle Certified coin album. I gave them up for a few reasons:

If I added a coin and wanted to keep the coins in 'order', it meant moving each coin. The plastic holder was secure, but the plastic is quite rigid. It was not easy to slip the slabs in and out.

The case did not fit in my safe (probably the main reason I stopped using them).

It would be nice to have slabs be just larger than the coin itself, so an album of half dimes could be a reasonable size.

I also use Eagle Brand albums - and the binders are empty on my book shelves and the pages are
in the SDB's. I too was disappointed that the albums wouldn't fit into the largest SDB's.

The Lighthouse album with dust case looks nice - just its too small - 36 slabs is nothing. I guess I could
use two [ no, can't do that either - as all the Barber series have more than 72 coins each... ...]

I used the Eagle Series for several years and did not like the pages, plus the binders were just cheap looking. They crack and buckle with some of the NGC slabs. The Lighthouse pages have a front and a back and fold over the slabs and snap, there is some play in the openings but not much. I too store the pages separately in the safe, but it is pretty easy just to snap them into the binder when I want to view them. They sell a 4 page (36 coins) set and a 6 page (54 coins) set. I have both for my series and just leave an opening for coins I do not have yet.
I think they are a vast improvement to the Eagle product and cheaper too!

Is the vinyl used for the slab holders made of Polyethlene terephthalate? and is PVC free? Otherwise long term storage might cause a sticky blemish and tarnish on the slabs which could mean having them reslabbed in the future.. Other wise it looks like a very nice album. I'm not thrilled with the Violet color on the outside but that's just me and I'm sure they have other colors. If they carried a black id be sold!! How many slabs can it hold per album?

They do make a larger size of the Light Album. The on that holds 4 pages (36 slabs) and one that holds 6 pages (54 slabs). I have one of each, but I find the large cumbersome. To big for my safe, I would need to sell some guns and ammo to have the big one fit.

Anyway you could just buy the pages and any size 3 ring ring binder to make your own custom sized album.

The color is a little off in the photo. It is more of a dark burgundy. They have blue and green also.

Reminds me of when a female friend asked me to look at a new BMW for her. I did and started reporting on the features, performance, and value. After a minute or two she interrupted with, "But what colors does it come in?"
