Speaking of junk wax...

I bought 8 boxes of 1992 Fleer Basketball Series 1 off ebay that I should have in hand today or tomorrow; have won 4 boxes of 1992 Fleer Series II via ebay auction, and am high bidder on 2 auctions of 2 Series II boxes right now (from the same seller). All Series II are from the same seller, and may be able to add on to my purchase! Leaving on a trip Friday, but I could be coming home to 16+ boxes of '92 fleer basketball to rip!!! That is sweetness, my friends.

BTW - after I am done ripping, anyone want 8,500+ '92 fleer basketball cards?

    The only error I know of is in my judgment to purchase this carp. I really wouldn't know a resource to look up potential card errors. Not a heavily collected set by any means.

    Jon Koncak has two different photos on back. I sold the last two pairs I had for $10 and $15 (I think).

    Sure - I will not be finished ripping for two weeks since I won't be back until next Saturday - if you find other errors in the meantime shoot me a pm and i will keep my eyes open for them too.

    edited to add - John Koncak is my dad's second cousin - how funny is that? Too bad the thing he is most known for is becoming the first overpaid stiff (hence the nickname John Contract).

    Mentioning John Koncak brings back a draft day memory. Before the Hawks made their selection (10th) in the 1992 draft, the crowd had been chanting "baby Jordan, baby Jordan, baby Jordan" in reference to Harold Minor's nickname. After the Hawks selected Stanford's Adam Keefe, the chant turned to "baby Koncak, baby Koncak...). Minor got selected 12th by the Heat and was quickly irrelevant, retiring in '96. Keefe spent 9 years in the League, at least somewhat living up to his 'namesake'.
