I know this is a nicely centered copy, but *******!!!!!!!! This went higher than what 7's sell for!! Think the winning bidder will pay?? Is Goodwin becoming the new Mastro for setting records???

<< <i>If it has a wrinkle, NO WAY it will get a '6'...the highest I have EVER seen a wrinkle, is a '5', and that is if the wrinkle is small and close to a corner..... >>
The centering and corners look great. If it is only a wrinkle keeping that from a 7, I'm sure the buyer has some plans to take care of that, if you know what I mean
"Common sense is the best distributed commodity in the world, for every man is convinced that he is well supplied with it"
Above the 'A' in the word 'afraid'
Whatever defect it had should have been noted in the description.
I would have to assume the bidders called and asked?

I doubt that there is an auction house on the planet that is not
an expert with spoons.
The challenge is that the wrinkles often/usually come back AFTER
the card has been slabbed.
I've never seen a wrinkle come back on a card after it was soaked and the wrinkle removed the proper way. I think that is a bit of a myth.
That said, it's a pretty hefty gamble, but one certainly worth taking for someone who has the soaking ability to get the card subsequently bumped into an 8 or better holder.

A dry-pressed wrinkle will almost always reappear, eventually.
It can take a few days or it can take a year+, but it will return.
Most auction houses have neither the time nor the risk-inclination
to soak cards and remove wrinkles permanently. They simply need
the wrinkle out, the card slabbed and sold.
