Question about a 100 ounce Englehard bar

BigEBigE Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭
This is a poured bar, looks older and a little more rough skinned than the stamped type of silver bars I am used to seeing. Don't know much about bullion, do you think it's worth 17.00 an ounce? thanks-------BigE

If it's something you want and you have to pay that much to get it, then it's probably worth it.

If it's something you can find at every store, or it isn't something you really care if you have, don't pay a premium for it.

(I think $17 silver is cheap)

With silver a little over $15, a price of $17 per oz for a 100 oz bar seems high to me. APMEX has 100 oz bars at a little over $16 per oz and that's a retail price.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
