Insurance and the PSA 10 card from last week

I had filed a claim with the post office due to them damaging a PSA 10 Randy Couture 2006 Allen and Ginter autographed trading card in the mail that I sold on ebay for $220. I had packed it pretty well, and I have no idea what had happened, but it was creased in the middle of the card through the PSA slab. I really could not believe it myself, but the slab was bent in the middle. I am unsure of the claim process but the buyer ended up on my request of sending me scans of the damaged card. The buyer also sent the card back and I refunded them their money immediately. They were happy and left me five stars on ebay in all the categories. It was nice to know they were so understanding in the situation. I was a little bit worried that the USPS would claim the card was damaged on the resend back to me, but I did submit the claim with photos of the card, insurance slip, etc prior to the buyer sending me the card. I was thinking it would be quite some time before I heard anything, and I was fully expecting to have to show the damage to a postal employee in person, but today in the mail I see that the post office refunded me the full $220 and the $6.56 cents it cost me to send the card for a total of $226.56.
My final tally will be better than the actual since I have been refunded by paypal and ebay fees. I still have the damaged card as well. All in all , it worked out as best it could. It was an uneasy situation to deal with , but it is over now.

Never heard of that before Bobby mentioned it.
Good to hear that all went well and fast for you.
