Billy Ripken Error Card?

I was wondering what everyones opinion was on the Ripken FF card? Is it a true collectors card or something that is an anomoly? Will it continue to go up in value? What is the value of a PSA 10 which I am sure are rare?

Rare? 217 PSA 10's. I sold 2 PSA 10's about a year ago for about $150 each. Now they average about $60.
IMO it will ALWAYS be the 'error' of century, and deff. a savior for baseball cards back in the day.
It's not the highest valued error, but at least it's obtainable (ala the Frank Thomas NNOF error.)
Will it go up in value? ... no... it's at it's peak right now. Will it become worthless one day?... Not for a long LONG time.
It'll always be worth something, but never more than it can be bought at today... approx $7-10/ea.
There are MULT variations... just about the only one with substantial value and demand is the white out... it's fetches just about FULL book even on Ebay.
PSA 10's... aren't uncommon. There are 217 PSA 10's of the plain ol' fashion FF error... the value of which takes a hit each time that # goes up.
Today, you should be able to pick up a PSA 10 of the FF error somewhere in the $30-40 range delivered.
There are just 5 PSA 10's of the white-out... and I have no idea what one of those would fetch... I just know it's CONSIDERABLY more.
If you're a 'collector' of baseball cards... you're collection must have an '89 Fleer Bill Ripken FF error in it. Again, just my opinion though.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
FWIW- The PSA 10 Whiteout pop report is inaccurate. I've seen 2 cards that were the Black Box inside of a PSA 10 Whiteout slab.
The FF is not rare. They made alot of them. For months they were spitting these out until the card was caught. Without looking at my info, I think Beckett estimated there was 80,000 made of the FF version.
As an investment- I would not invest in a FF version. It's too common. If E/V's ever get popular again, there are numerous versions that were produced in very small quantities. (One of the 3 are pictured in the thread below) I've been very actively collecting this card going on 7 years now. There are quite a few versions that were produced in very small quantities. (non saw cut versions) Those have the best bet at a price increase.
For me, the most interseting thing about this card is the unknown version info. So many uncataloged versions.
Here's a link to a thread I started awhile back with a few pics of my collection (I need to update this thread)
