Where can I find a general price guide for the Society of Medalists arts medals?

Does anyone know if there is any sort of price guide for these medals? Let's assume that I don't personally want to dirty my hands by logging onto Ebay.

Steve Hayden typically has a whole bunch in inventory, along with nice simple pages showing his prices in tabular form (bronze) (silver).

Those are obviously his retail asking prices, so if you are looking for what yours would be worth when selling, you'll need to round down quite a bit. My gut feel based on not-really-paying-attention to eBay sales is that taking off a third to a half of those prices might get you close.

And the ones that he doesn't have in inventory don't have prices.

It's a starting point, though, and really easy to do a quick lookup if it happens to have the info you need...

I have a few of these myself. Purchased from my local Brick and Mortar store which has lots and lots of medals. Good prices there too; that website lists prices many times more expensive than you can get the medals for.

But I cannot help you, as I was simply looking for medals that appealed to me, without a price list.

Are you looking to sell? Or looking to buy? Are you hesitating to perform a transaction before you can see a price guide? I'm curious!

Some of those are really nice looking! I might have to look around for a couple of them...
