Ok, I can't resist any longer. My apologies to the hundreds that have gone before - I've not read all your posts.

    1) PCGS will take microscopically detailed, digital, three dimensional images of all coins submitted (and probably has been for the past 6 months).
2a) The image will be on a microchip embedded in the PCGS holder.
2b) The image will be available on the web via the coins PCGS serial number.

    2) With appropriate software (available at CCE) you will be able to view the coins in 3D space (e.g. tilt them back and forth to see hairlines), as well as the more typical size and contrast manipulation. This will become the standard for buying and selling PCGS coins.

    3) For counterfeit detection, people can compare the image on the web with the coin in the holder. Dealers will be able to purchase a device that will make the comparison for them at a microscopic level, using the information in the microchip. There will be lots of additional encrypted information on the microchip to aid with counterfeit detection.

    4) Many of the activities of "coin doctors" will be detectable in the detailed images, automatically, before the coin is placed in the holder.

    5) You will be able to resubmit a coin for re-grade merely by referencing the images - and the grading fee will be less! You only need to send in the physical coin to get it placed in a new holder.

    6) The "crack out artists" and others will develop software to examine the images to find candidates for upgrades. Similarly for finding unattributed varieties. Alternatively, PCGS will do this and add its own "*" or CAC system to the coin's grade.

HRH, I'll accept double the cash in PCGS grading fee credits image

    Enjoy!

    Richard

there will be a collaboration with he US Mint so that PCGS becomes the disributer of mint collector material

PCGS will be in charge of distribution of sales

PCGS will sell stuff graded or raw and will adjust prices on MS70s or PR70s depending on rarity
PCGS will open branch offices at San Francisco, Denver and Phiadelphia

PCGS anticipates an additionional 10 million gradings per year with this collaboration

There will be no need to send your coins to CAC- HRH and the family are buying CAC and will have the CAC inserted inside the holder OR

inserts that are in gold or green will represent its level of "PQ" along with the grade.

any one will be able to join PCGS for free, but to register your sets will cost 1 dollar per coin.

PCGS will now allow NGC graded coins to registry sets that meet the minimum grade of ms67 or pr69dcam.

you will now be able to find through the cert # when the coin was graded (ie- 1986, 1999)...

    just a few thoughts..

Another guess...from perhaps from the left field parking lot...

Coins or coin lots will be officially traded on one of the stock exchanges or the futures market.

PCGS is working with ICANN to obtain approval for the .numi top-level domain

Along the lines of "Questionable Authenticity" and "Questionable Color," "Cleaned" will change to "Possibly Cleaned" and "Altered Surface" will change to "Questionable Surfaces."

Sample Slabs will be sold in Starbucks!!!

PCGS will sponsor a Greatful Dead tour, and as a result, all coins will quickly become artificially colored.

In an effort to go green and to safeguard the California water supply, PCGS will begin selling recycled paint buckets in its coin supplies. Recycling booths will be set up a coin shows to collect unwanted boxes.

    My guesses:

PCGS will buy any PCGS slabbed coin at a predetermined value (a different type of "price guide") sight unseen, hence further enforcing their grade guarantee.

All coins will be imaged at time of certification to help prevent counterfeiting.

PCGS is bringing back the doily holder.

At the time of the annoucement I wonder if the intial reaction by the attendees will be:

    a) WTF----is that all
    b) OMG-----that is awesome and yes, it's out of left field
    c) somewhere in the middle

I really like the idea of PCGS publishing a sight unseen buy price on any and all of the coins encapsulated by PCGS. This would allow PCGS to gather all the overgraded, and ugly PCGS coins, reholder them at an appropriate grade, and send them back into the market. Of course the Genuine label would be appropriate for some of the worst coins.

    1. Accugrade style "characteristics" such as strike and luster. Attribute those separately.

    2. Computer ASSISTED grading. Computer identifies wear, and can show how many bagmarks and what % of the entire field is bagmark.

    3. Photo cert lookup available on PC or mobile phone

    4. Description service. Coin card with grade and more descriptive details about the grade and why.

PCGS will grade and slab coins FOR the US MINT so you can buy already graded coins from the MINT thus enhancing MINT and PCGS revenue.

From now on, coins submitted to PCGS will be graded and encapsulated, and then shipped to PCGS' highly secure environmentally-controlled storage thus guaranteeing the coin's permanent safety. The original submitter will receive a nice certificate. The certificates will be tradeable sight-unseen on PCGS' new electronic trading service, which will automatically record transfers of ownership.

Monthly storage fees will be less than you are paying now for a safety deposit box.

    My 3 guesses:

    1. New holder in which the coin will not tone when placed in the holder

    2. PCGS's very own coin auction site.

    3. Photo's of every coin they grade.

I did not read the 305040 previous posts so I know some have been mentioned.

Undoubtedly a new holder, one which will be completely airtight, with much more information than previously.
But the big question.......................will this reach 1000 by the 25th?

Didn't read the whole thread so don't know if someone has already guessed this or not, but here goes:

    1. PCGS has bought out CAC and JA will now be a PCGS employee. His first assignment will be in the bulk grading room until he learns the PCGS grading system.

    2. PCGS has bought out Legend Numismatics Laura and George will now be PCGS employees. Their first assignment will be in the bulk grading room where they will specialize in 1964 Kennedy Half dollars.

    3. PCGS has formed a partnership with a former coin dealer and will be moving their operation to Costa Rica. They will now specialize in grading wildly toned coins, especially Peace Dollars and Indian cents.
