Can you ID these Yaz cards? Exhibits? Year?

Greetings!

can anyone help me ID these Yaz cards so I can get them graded and added to my Yaz Master Set. I think they are Exhibits, but not sure and also not sure of the year.

    Manny,

They are both reprints from 2008. Send them to me and I will dispose of them properly!

HAHAHAHA. Sorry buddy, can't help ya out ... not familiar with them. (BTW ... who the hell is that player in the picture? LOL)

They don't look like Exhibits, since no Exhibit card I've ever seen has had a white area with the player's name and team (or anything else for that matter).

I was going to guess that they're a team issue, but I doubt the Red Sox would have misspelled Yaz's name.

  • These look like they are Jays Publishing. 1962-1965. I assume these are 5"x7" in dimension made out of a very thin paper stock.
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all "right-thinking" people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

Jays publishing-uniform clues can help date the year.

If all else fails, I'd suggest sending them in to BGS for slabbing. They have holders large enough for them, and they'll be able to properly identify them.

Since you are a Yaz Master set builder, is he or Ted Williams on the 1960 Topps Red Sox Team Card? I have a signed Yaz rookie, but have thought about trying to get him to sign a 60 TC if he were to be on it. I've never seen one signed either by him or by Ted, so I wasn't sure if either were on it.
