    1959 I think.
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    Good day,
    1959 Topps. basically the first Non Sport Spooky/Monster issue form any manufacturer. Considered the daddy of all Monster cards. Art way ahead of its time and borderline too much for the little kiddes, Topps had an immediate hit and produced them in the millions.
    Those cards appear to be in fairly good condition, about 5-6 range...retail about .75-$2 each depending.

    World renowned Jack Davis (Mad Magazine) art work - I was 9 in '59 and these cards freakin freaked me out!
    I think they were reissued a couple of times - late 60s and early 70s (1969 & 1973?)

    Dude - got yourself a stash of mercury dimes and buffalo nickels doncha?

    I collected the 1973 You'll Die Laughing cards as a kid. They used black and white photographs from the classic Universal monster movies on the fronts. What I did not know (but I do now after viewing your scan) is that the backs of the cards from 1959 and 1973 have nearly identical designs.

    Anybody got #17? That's the only one I need for a set. I have a few duplicates that I would trade.

    I have #53 - EX

    The rest of these have pin holes - 9 14 20 36 63 65.
