Say what you want, but Favre is TOUGH! (pics included)

He took a lot of heat for (another) game ending interception, but you can't questions the man's toughness. Damn.

Clarionledger - So, I was talking to Bus Cook, sports agent of the stars, today about one of his clients, Antonio Johnson, the starting defensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts. And I asked Bus about the health of his most famous client Brett Favre. “Beat up,” Bus answered. “You should see the photos of his ankle and his hamstring the day after the game.” I said I’d like to do just that. Cook emailed them. Brace yourself. For all those who have criticized Favre for throwing instead of running on that last play against the Saints, check out Brett’s left ankle and his right hamstring. That he even finished the game is testament to why he is football’s all-time iron man, the toughest football player I’ve ever seen. Now I ask you: How many guys would have played with that?

Pretty gruesome. Gotta imagine alot of guys look like this after a NFL game though.

I saw the interview with him after that Minny/Saints game and noticed the bruises on his forehead from his helmut being smashed, yea he took a beating but still cost them the game- regardless of those bruises he knows better than to do what he did.

I like Favre by the way, just sayin.

I've never been a big Favre fan, but he got brutalized in that game, a few times illegally, and kept getting up off the turf. A lot of QBs would have had a hard time finishing that game.

He IS the iron man of pro sports. I mean what he did compared to Cal Ripken isn't even close in my book. Tell me the next highest QB in games started streak, as I'd like to see that gap. In due time, it will be in the ballpark of Cy Young's all-time wins.

    Enjoy your collection!

After taking some of those hits, I was impressed he stayed in.

However, for Favre (or his agent) to post his brusies on the interwebs to "prove" anything is weak, though it doesn't surprise me.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
  • Peyton Manning has the next longest strarting streak for QB's...I believe that he has started every game of his career.
