Autographing the outside of a PSA case a good idea?

I plan on sending in 3 awesome 1 of a kind Nolan Ryan packs to his foundation ($35/each; 16 weeks) for him to sign on the outside of the PSA case.
I have 3 PSA packs..
1977 Topps WAX pack w/Ryan showing face out (clearly) on back PSA 8
1980 Topps cello Ryan front and back PSA 9
1982 Topps cello Ryan front and back PSA 8
I am going to be sending them in for him to sign in Sharpie on the outside like I have for Gary Carter and Keith Hernandez RC's, they look awesome!
These will truly be 1 of 1 and if this hobby is all about supply and demand, I gotta say I can't go wrong, right?
