The Big Blue Wrecking Crew

I'll start a wicked cool new thread. I was watching "Solid Gold" in late fall of 1981 and guests were (probably) Suzi Quattro and England Dan and John Ford Coley. I can't remember specifically cuz I was 9. But what I specifcally remember is Marily McCoo introducing the "Big Blue Wrecking Crew" and out come:
Jerry Reuss
Rick Monday
Jay Johnstone
Steve Yeager
and they were singing "We are the Champions". I love that crap. "Super Bowl Shuffle", Robert DeNiro and the Mammoth Quartet in "Bang the Drum Slowly", all that stuff. However I never saw the "We Are the Mets" video from 1986, but I hear it sucked.
Let's riff on this for a while. Who else has athletes as singers favorites?
BTW - I am fairly new, not an alt, and will not shoot when shot at.

Is it just me, or does it look like Bradshaw is pulling a Milli Vanilli?
