What are these and what year?

It looks like it could be 1958-1965 Jay Publishing Picture Packs. Not sure of the value though.

Guess I shuld have mentioned that I do not have the whole set. Have 6 of them.

Looks like these -- however, I can't find mention of them after 1965 and Catfish does not appear to be in the '65 set.

What are the other photos Bill.

This set is not listed in the Standard Catalog of BB.

I did find checklists for 63, 4 and 5 and Hunter's not on it.

If you have the 2010 edition of the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards, it is on page 186 on the bottom right. I did not see hunter on the checklist. There were several numbers that were not issued (even though the pictures are not numbered). Maybe you have found one of the "not issued" photos........

Bob - what years do they list?

I have the 07 - and it only lists the 55 set and a 56-61 set but that one is a different size and has fax sigs.

Well I just went through the checklist and I did not see any of these players. ?????????

One other thing, they are 5X7

It only lists it as a group 1958-1965 then the checklist of players. I am going to check my other catalogs from before 2007. Maybe they will have a better breakdown. That would stink if they condensed everything in one group like this. I will get back to checking after running a few errands.

I gave it a quick check before running out. The 2008 catalog does not have a checklist at all but just pricing for stars commons etc. The 1999 catalog has a complete checklist including poses for 1958 type 1 and 1962 type 2. I will look for my other catalogs later tonight and let you know.

I believe the Jay Publishing would say Kansas City, Athletics.

I think these are considered a team issue

To narrow it down more, Jim Gosger was acquired by the A's in June 66, so it's probably not a 66 issue. All 5 guys were on the 67 Team.

They are picture packs issued by team in the area of 1965 - 1968 if memory serves. I have Reds sets in same packaging with different images for certain players by year. I have tried to get PSA to grade them in the past with no luck. However, recenlty I saw a 1966 Picture Pack Clemente in the pop report so maybe things have changed.
