Anyone use storage boxes from aboxfactory.com?

Just wondering if anyone has ordered a storage box from aboxfactory.com that is advertised on some PSA pages. They are similar to the old MJ Roop boxes. Just wanted some feedback from people who might have purchased from them. Thanks!

  • They were the maker of the Roop boxes, I have a couple of the Roops and they are great. I think there was a thread on the SGC boards and a couple people purchased the boxes and were happy.

Bob...I might be interested in some of their boxes. Wonder if we could get a quantity discount?

    Bob,

I brought up those same boxes in another thread and asked about them. I was curious too. They do look like the expensive MJ Roop boxes, but for a lot less money.

How did those sterilite containers go that you wanted to get at Target?

I recall we have been looking for PSA card storage solutions for some years now. I am still at it too. I already ordered the Pelican case to see if I like it for cards, if not, I have some nice cameras to put in there anyway.

The box I got from them was a Roop box

They ship out of NY, so if we are out of state, no sales tax. I wonder how much the shipping is.

The V-notch boxes look nice and at $5.35 a piece, its a bargain. I wonder if PSA cards with sleeves can fit in there. The PSA issued blue or red plastic boxes were too narrow for that according to some collectors. Hopefully these are better.

Jeff, That is a great idea. Maybe we can see if they will offer a bulk rate if there is enough interest.
DG, I couldnt find a good sterilite container. They all had rounded corners and bottoms.
  • I'd definitely be interested if anyone was buying in bulk - unfortunately I live in NY and they won't sell to me unless I have a resellers' certificate. The shipping is a bit high - for one V-notch storage tray, it's $7.95.

I could use 8 of the black storage boxes. Total for those is $217. Lets see what kind of bulk deal we can get.

    Bob...are you working on this??

  • I bought a box and a Tallboy holder yesterday, I'll give a review when they arrive.
  • My items arrived on Thursday. They are definately M.J. Roop products. The storage box had M.J. Roop in the inside. I'm happy with both products. I will be using them to store my PSA/DNA encapsulated cardss.
  • bought a "wooden" one. while i believe my definition and theirs differ; the box was worth the money. Came to $80 with shipping, the paper-esc covering is a bit suspect where it's basically glued on. Thou for the money it's about right, I don't think you could get better cheaper and if you were going to improve on it, no way you'd spend less than a hundo.

The packaging leaves zero room for error, meaning if there's shipping problems (aka drop) you will see the impact on your purchase. Thou I will say I'm not terribly disappointed, just not terribly impressed either. I mean it is an $80 box...
  • I tried asking them a few weeks ago for a quantity discount - they responded quickly, but said only if we got them shipped to the same place image

  • I bought one of the chipboard boxes - total price including shipping was $34.87. It actually says MJ Roop on the inside. It's actually pretty decent - I like it.

What if you’re not a reseller? The site states that they only wholesale : (
  • They sell to the public, I have ordered a few boxes from them.

I'm on the site, aboxfactory.com. What box should I be looking at to hold standard card PSA holders? Thanks!

  • I just ordered one of the chipboard boxes that hold approx 140 cards. I am outside NY and had no problems. $37.24 total with UPS delivery.
  • Got my box today, 4 days from ordering to in hand. For the price it is just right, it does have the Roop logo on the inside also. Very handy solution to storage for a decent price. A+

If anyone's ordered both the wooden and the chipboard box, is there a big difference in quality between the two to justify the price difference? Frankly, even the wood one looks a little flimsy to me from the picture, so not sure if it's worth it.

    any update to this thread?
  • I've got 5 of them and they work great
    I purchased the cheaper ones.
The boxes they sent me all have Roop stickers or logo on the inside of them.
  • I have now purchased many- wood boxes, tallboy boxes and 3 ring binders and they are all outstanding quality. There is a pretty big difference between the wood vs the chipwood, I like and use both both but the wooden ones are better imo by a bunch.
