Why do pack-issued autos always sell for $$, while authenticated in-person autos sell for far less?

I remember a few months ago, the 1989 UD Griffey Jr autographed buy-backs were selling for between $600 and $1500, while slabbed PSA/DNA ones sold at the same time for less than $200.

:...I Told you, The Dice-k is real. It was signed in person and would pass PSA Quick opinion or authentication. Also the Papelbon IS fake, But I paid around $100.00 for it and NEED the money back..."

  • I didn't notice the "NEED" in all caps. Poor kid. It's ok to sell a fake if you "NEED" the $...lol

Now the bidders are private and it appears he'd shilling.

This seller has been failing to deliver goods he sold on the Topps board lately as well.

  • Cards he was trying to sell on ebay- His Dad made him pull them off once he got a phone call.

Then he sold a box of 6,000 "unsearched" cards he bought in a garage sale. Delivered only 3,000. All the IP autos were fake and ....This was in the box, his little brother, unsearched..... lol.

Then he sold this card. It's scanned, printed then traced over the auto...lol Dad was made aware and hopefully this kid learned his lesson.
