So much for me trying to snipe this one...

Here's one I was going to snipe for $1000, but within a day it shot way past my intended price: eBay Linky
Scarce mint, very scarce grade, looks to me to be a mule with the 1846 eagle reverse.

Maybe bidding at the current level will discourage those who didn't set a watch, and maybe there won't be many planning on a snipe of their own. Who knows? Maybe you can still get it for something like $1,111,11.
No, it's not my auction, nor is it by anyone I know.
In addition to Roman's observations, it's a wonderful looking coin.

<< <i>Not me either. I was topped out at $1,800 plus. I do have my limitations. Tough coin. Someone wanted it more than me. >>
dizzlecc, it looks like you might get a second shot, but I think I would contact the seller to inquire as to why it was relisted.
I took a moment to ask the seller that very question, and here's his/her reply:
Tom,
The high bidder informed us that he lost his job within
a day of the auction end, and could not pay for the item.
Good luck,
a-coinshop
I pasted that in from the eBay e-mail response window, so it'll probably come out full of code...sorry!
Best to all ~
