Question about subbing mid 90s Topps Finest

So, I'm thinking about adding a 1996 Topps Finest to my group sub entry.

Not this one, but something similar:


The correct way to do these is to peel the coating before subbing, correct?

they'll grade 'em either way. Looks like they put a coating designation. Personally, if it was going in my personal collection, I'd want it peeled. Gotta be careful when peeling, obviously, so as not to damage the card.

If there are scratches on the coating or if it is starting to peel, you will want to peel the coating as that will impact the grade.

I also prefer my graded card without the coating. I've peeled a couple of these, and they both came back a 10. Just be careful.

Needle and a great magnification = good to go.

I peel all mine.
