Autograph help: Joe DiMaggio

Picked up this ball 12 years ago for my mother for Christmas. She was in love with DiMaggio as a kid. I don't know anything about autographs and wondered if it was genuine. It came with a letter of authenticity be that doesn't really mean anything.

Thanks
Claude

I got a ball signed by Joe in 1991 (in person) out in the safe. I'll get it out tomorrow morning and compare it to yours

This has got to be the hardest thing Claude - every PSA/DNA sig I looked at appeared a little different.

You can never be 100% sure with Dimaggio, Mantle, and Williams thanks to the Operation Bullpen gang. You can "buy" piece of mind by getting a PSA/DNA opinion or cert but with the big three I think they just guess. The only thing I see that might raise a red flag is the start of "Joe" looks a little shaky, but in the time frame you are talking about JD was pretty old if that is indeed when he signed it that might be expected.

I'm normally skeptical but I'd lean a little to the OK side on this one.

The COA you have is likely not worth the paper.

I think it would pass PSA/DNA or Spence. Looks like one I owned that passed JSA
