POP report costing me money?

Just a thought.

I have THIS CARD listed on eBay. The Murphy registry has heated back up lately.

According to the pop report, it is a pop 3 on a tough condition sensitive set. This one was originally mislabeled as Donruss. I finally got around to sending it back to have the flip fixed. HOWEVER, I know for a fact that one of the 3 PSA 10's is actually a Donruss and not Leaf and has yet to be corrected. I know who the owner of that card is and he recently sent me a scan of the card.

So, if the pop report only showed 2 PSA 10's like it should, do you think it would effect the final price? How many other mislabeled cards are out there with a similar mislabel?

If his registry has heated up again I don't think it will make a difference, I was really big on the Mike Bossy player set, and I can tell you from experience, those bozos will pay through the roof if it is something they need and if it is an item that is tough for them to personally find, regardless of what the pop says...

and pop 3 makes little difference than pop 2 IMO for player registry set collectors (at leats it wasn't for me).

Not exactly the same situation but close

This is my Dale Murphy but it is mislabeled with his All Star card #391 which is pop 11

This base card is #150 which shows pop 1, and I know you sold that one image

I definitely need to get this fixed!!

How long of a turnaround was it to correct your flips?

I DO think that the pop 3 would effect the price of yours because Murphy is a popular registry image

The quantity listed in the pop is just as meaningless as the price in the guide. Whether there's 2 or 3 or 10 doesn't matter. All that matters is attracting 2 or more of the top buyers who all need the card. It won't matter what the pop or guide is, it will be bid on to win.

I believe I sold the pop 1 #150 to the same guy that has the mislabeled 87 Donruss DK for $175.

My mislabel one in this post was logged in on 12/31 and shipped on 1/11.

I think it does matter as people use that info in determining what to bid.

With that said, if it was me I'd simply mention that in my listing.

The price difference between a pop 2 and a pop 10 could mean hundreds of dollars.

Not only could a seller price the item higher but if it is from a desirable set with more than

2 or 3 followers knowing what the true pop is important.

As for this specific card and set I don't know.

    Good for you.
