Celebrating the WBTV 30th anniversary with a Tim Carroll Art Ripken giveaway!

This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the Charlotte O's WBTV and Police sets! RITM is celebrating the anniversary with a giveaway! The first giveaway will take place on May 30, 2010, the 30th anniversary of the night the WBTV cards were given out at Crockett Park in Charlotte, North Carolina!

For the giveaway, RITM has commissioned Tim Carroll of http://www.timcarrollart.com for a one of a kind commemorative celebrating Cal's 1980 WBTV card! This piece of art is the actual size of a standard trading card! Tim's art has been featured in Sports Collectors Daily, http://www.sportscardforum.com, Beckett and the Upper Deck Blog.

Corresponded with Tim about the second part of the 30th anniversary celebration. Once the WBTV sketch is given away a second contest will be launched for a one of a kind piece of art celebrating the 1980 Charlotte Police card of Cal. Tim says the project is coming along and that I should have a cop of the finished project this weekend!

I can't either. Everything Tim does looks great IMHO. If you are not a member he has a page on facebook. He just showed off a new Superman piece recently using the same technique as in the Ripken sketch.
