One thing I notice with the cards from the 2nd series 1960 cello box find is that most are off center to the left (when the card is sideways). I bought 3 cello packs with a friend about 10 years ago at a Tony LaRussa fund raiser card show. We paid $75 each (I wish we bought them all). I kept a pack, he kept a pack and we busted and split the cards from the other. We pulled a Kaat RC which was mint but O/C (graded an 8NQ) and a Billy Martin which was also mint and more O/C (graded a 7NQ). Most of the rest of the cards were also OC, many too far to make them worth grading. The cards in the rack packs look similarly O/C. I wouldn't recommend buying those packs with the intention of ripping them.

I think this goes for most wax imo. I think the "real" value in old wax is the fact that they are unopened. >>
For most I agree 100%.
BTW ... I was told that all three '60 racks have been sold. The value in these packs is their rarity ... KEEP THEM UNOPENED!!!!!
STAY HEALTHY!
