Prelude to History: 1977 World Series Game 5

since PSA ran a special on World Series tix last month, i figured what-the-hay and sent in 3 identical stubs which i had been saving in a box and thought it would be fun to get them graded....all 3 came back EX 5, appropriate for Game 5, which i expected, since they all had a bend in the exact same place where they were quite likely smushed in my Dad's pocket while he was carrying beers to our seats......here is one of them, and it looks real nice in this giant slab, so i guess they'll make a nice supplement to my 1977 Topps set, one of my favorite years.....as for the game, it was a lot of fun, considering how high hopes were when the team arrived home after a split of the first two games in New York, and then they promptly fell flat in Games 3 and 4, so it temporarily soothed the disappointment of L.A. fans only long enough for Reggie to get back to Yankee Stadium in time for Batting Practice in Game 6 and a fitting conclusion to the Series.....the Bronx indeed was Burning, but a couple days prior was just beach balls, Farmer John hot dogs and a heavenly day in Hollywood.

Question for you -- is the label info standard stuff for a ticket or did you request the score and starting pitchers' names to be added?? Sure adds a lot to the provenance of the stub...
I think I remember that Jackson was key in game 6 or 7? Didn't he hit like 3 homers?
And wasn't this the year they coined the term Mr October?
I wish I had gone to a WS game back then but just didn't have the money - again - thanx for sharing.
