PM difficulty, help/advice please

I am suddenly experiencing PM issues. My last successful PM was approximately 2 weeks ago and the messages went fine both ways. Now when I enter the name of the poster and click send message, I get a little yellow starburst that appears to have an exclamation point inside, that shows up in the lower right side of the pointing hand. The star is there only a second or two, then the addressee's name disappears as does the hand. Normally I would get a dialog box, but I get nada.

I have made no changes to any settings on my computer. I can navigate to any page and read and reply to posted topics...I just can't PM anymore.

Any thoughts and assistance much appreciated!

Thanks,
Al - mcmlvtopps

Hi Al, I just sent you a PM and it went through fine on my end. Can you see my PM?

    Hey Paul,

Yes, I saw that I had a PM and clicked it...you said "hey". Now the PM disappeared and to top that, the little lock icon was flashing between gold and red! Now without me doing anything, your PM is gone.

I called PSA, but they couldn't assist. I have not a remote clue what's going on...obviously I can respond to posted messages, but cannot create or now respond to PMs.

    Thanks for the shout.

    Hi...

Your browser might be confused. You can try clearing the cache and see what happens.

    Thanks Kevin, already did that.

How can PM work great for me 2 weeks ago and now nada?? I even logged off and logged back in, even rebooted the box. Very weird.

One more think you can try is to clear your cookies, and see if that does anything.

Have you made any changes recently to anything, even non-browser related? Maybe a change or patch broke something.

If you are running a PC operating system, you might check to see virus checker is up to date and has been run.

Welcome to my world. That is basically the same issue I have had since getting my new pc last March. I can read pm's, but can't send them. Doesn't want to keep me logged on to post either. Not sure why the CU folks can't help as it is their website. I have tried everything I know to fix it as well, but to no avail. I sure hope someone who is way more computer savy can help us out!
