Question on Values of 1909 & 1919 1 Franc (France)

My regular dealer just took in some foreign coins (I usually deal in currency). Ever since I was a kid, I have loved The Sower image on the French Francs. I pick them up (usually in the 1960s and 70s) when I can and they are inexpensive.

He has a 1909 1 Franc (in AU) and a 1919 1 franc (in xf) and I was wondering what would be a fair price?

Thanks in advance.

Cheap. Without a catalogue in hand, I'd say one dollar in XF, maybe $2 for the AU. These become much pricier in certified gem or near gem versions, because of the popularity of the design. I'd personally wait for a (common 1917) raw choice-gem BU that shouldn't cost more than $5-$7.

At today's sliver prices, they'd be worth a bit more, say $2.50. Basically their worth is their melt value.
