What is "the" Tom Brady RC?

I'm lost when it comes to the modern stuff....I'm curious what would be considered the "signature" regular issue Tom Brady RC? (i.e., the equivalent of the 1987 Fleer Bonds RC or 1985 Topps McGwire)....is it the SP Authentic?

Agreed. Not sure how collectors regard the Contenders cards (RC or not) but the signed Championship Ticket is probably at the top of wish lists for Brady collectors. I believe there are 100 copies.

The card to have is the Playoff Contenders Auto, it's on card. For registry purposes, it's the SP Authentic, which IMO is overpriced.

On ebay, ungraded Contenders sell for about the same price as BGS 9 SP Authentic.

That's what I mean by overpriced, I tend to think of it this way. If the athlete were to die today, which card would everyone want? Those two cards were running about $1500 each at one point.
