Any thoughts?

I received this pair of pictures (blended into one now) in an email. The question is about the star counterpunch. Is this (a) just someone testing out their metalworking kit or (b) is there numismatic significance? Methinks (a), but it doesn't hurt to ask!

First thing is to get a selection of Torx drivers and see if one is an exact fit. If so, I'd go for (a) too. Disregard the central raised lump as this may vary from one manufacturer to another.
  • Rob i am wondering if it was one ot he "poor people food tokens" given out in the Jewish comunity? It is the star of David if u ignore the centre.

The profile for a star of David is that of 2 triangles i.e. with straight lines joining the points. The profile of a Torx head is rounded between adjacent points. That is why I suggested the latter.
