framed autograph?

I don’t collect anything new but sometimes buy boxes for fun just to see if I can pull anything neat. In one of the 2009 Allen & Ginter boxes I pulled an online redemption card. It says I will receive a framed autograph of Alex Rios. What do they mean by framed autograph?

Also since I don’t collect these cards what is the best way to sell them to get some of my money back?

  • It looks just like the GU'd minis with the frame around it.
  • Like Bill said, it looks just like the mini framed game used cards.

Heres an example of what it will look like:

I would put all the short prints in one lot as well as the minis.

Then maybe do the rest in one lot.

YBF - congratulations on the redemption - just wanted to share this Yogi 60s Hartland with ya - I'm looking into a display cabinet and will be including them in the display - the cool thing about this one is the presence of the "mask" which is usually lost in most sales of Yogi.

The Yogi is one of my favorites.

  • I have wanted one of those for quite a while. I am very jealous of you. They can be pretty expensive if they are complete with plate, magnets, etc. Every time I go to buy one I end up getting tempted by an autograph. One day though!

How do you tell if someone is selling one with a reproduction mask and trying to pass it off as original?

I'm not a Hartland expert - so not sure. I bought this from a really good source who stated "all original" - and I'm gonna have to trust them. Good question.
