If he did, one of his angry buyers probably did it. His last positive feedback was for an item sold on Dec. 21st, and it was right after that that he started getting the flood of negatives - for items sold well before 12/21. According to several of the negatives, he was making excuses the whole time.
I think in an instance where an ebayer has perfect feedback for how ever long and then drops off of the planet means that he is probably dead or was in the hospital.

Perhaps. Or someone builds up positive feedback through buying and selling 5 & 10 cent items to appear trustworthy, then sells expensive items he either does not have or will not deliver. He pockets the cash, now has lousy feedback and is NARUed. He then takes out new ID and repeats the process.

That is also possible but when you have low feedback paypal will hold all of your funds recieved until the buyer gives you positive feedback. I would know lol it can be annoying. Plus if I were him I would go bigger, go onto the mastro site and find some nice mantles to post. Blank out the serial numbers and make sure you have a phony address lol. That's how I would do it. I say he is dead.
I've mention a seller from awhile back that used Katrina as a backdrop for some serious ripping-off.
His Ebay name was rafaelcoins. It involved a lot of money , with Ebay dragging their collective feet , as many buyers , thinking they had some great items coming , were left holding only a slimmer bank account.

I bought a Harry Potter DVD from this seller early in December. Once the negs started rolling in, I figured that a paypal claim was in my near future. >>
Now that is freaky--that seller in your auction has an Ebay ID that is eerily close to mine
