TTM Help ---- Mailing a Baseball

Hi,
I have done plenty of TTM but have never mailed out a baseball. Could anyone give me any help with what size boxes to use? Where you get your boxes? Any particular techniques? and how much does postage cost?
Thank you in advance,
Jason

Don't use boxes, way too much trouble. Use the run of the mill brown bubble mailers. Don't know how much postage as I haven't done one lately.

  • A large bubble mailer actually works well. Load it up with your ball and a return bubble mailer get it weighed and then have the same postage placed on the return bubble mailer you will fold up in the sent package. You can also throw a pen in the bag if you are partial to a specific color.

Thanks this makes much more sense to me. BTW have any of you sent a bat or a 16x20 or larger. I have no plans to but i'm just curios. Thanks again, Jason.

Stop by the Post Office. They used to have a priority mail box for larger documents (drawings) that would work for most bats, but I honestly have not sent out a bat in awhile.

16x20 is moving you into a tougher realm for the TTM world. If you want to send an item that large you probably need to contact the signer and have them agree to resending it themselve as it is not something they can throw in their mail box. Guys who charge a free will probably be more accomodating than the freebies but you never know.

To send a 16 x 20, roll it up and get an appropriate size mailing tube. Include self addressed peel and stick labels on the inside and enough postage to get it back to you.

For a bat, again use a mailing tube and include self addressed peel and stick labels on the inside and enough postage to get it back to you.
