The card is not even close to NM. It look to be VG with that crease in there.

Yeah, I thought it didn't look NM at all. I also thought it was weird that other auctions with better conditioned cards are going for less. I felt suspicious because of the low amount of feedback of both the seller and the current highest bidder. However that could just be me.

A near mint in the eyes of Pca or snaggletooth grading services maybe a $20 card at best imo seller needs to change his listing and list the card as a Vg .
I recently purchased a lot of 1951 red backs on ebay listed as good and very good with 7 with paper loss on back . Gottem in today 15 cards have huge amount of paper loss on back and front and three cards would grade a Good at best and one card that is in Ex shape, awaiting sellers response . I asked how he can list cards as Vg when all cards would receive a psa 1 grade at best. Anyone can look on ebay to see which auction that I won from the ebay I paid $58 plus $3.00 s/h for $1 cards at best. Can anyone give me some advice on resolving this matter? greatly appreciated!

I think PRO would grade that at least a 9.

I stay away from any auction that has the words or phrases "grandfathers....", "inherited these....." and "I am not a professional grader......". Way too much risk.

What is not right is that someone(s) could bid on it and take his word for it without eyeballing the picture. This is approaching PSA 5 price with 3 days to go and you don't have to squint to see it is has been folded in half and rubbed against a brick wall on the left side.
