Adam LaRoche...

Earlier this off-season, the Giants offered him a 2 year deal worth $17.5 million, and he turned it down.

Today he signed wit the D-Backs for a 1 year, $4.5 million deal.

Looks like LaRoche might want to look into getting a new agent.

yep, Valverde is going to be in the same boat. Turned down $10M from the Astros and he'll lose at least a few million when he signs with someone else. Also a bad move for the Mariners unwillingness to hold out for LaRoche. They were in on him before acquiring Kotchman, now Kotchman will likely get $5M in arbitration and will be lucky to reach 10 HRs and 50 RBIs. LaRoche plays great defense too so he fits the M's mold.

LaRoche made the decision, no need to blame the agent. LaRoche obviously thought more highly of himself.
