I completely believe him!! But is that the regular size for 1985? Just asking bc if it is ture and it is over sized. Was sheet cutting going on back then during the craze? Would make sense. Big money was being tossed away.
The seller must not be hurting for money if he is able to basically laugh at himself for blowing $18k on a modern rookie when he could have had a well centered 1952 Topps PSA 5 Mantle.

If I paid that much for a card that lost that much value I would not sell it. I would put it on a card stand next to my computer screen and have to look at it before I bid on anything else. Much like a woman puts a picture on the refrigerator so she doesn't overeat.

for all the feel good "I found this gold nugget and look what happened!" stories we always love to see, there is somebody out there who needs to lose.

or he needs the extra $$ to purchase ammunition.
harsh lesson is right, 18K for a card from the era of overproduction
makes you wonder what that BGS 10 Jordan RC will eventually bottom out at

cashed mine out and put it into cards, even with 10% penalty still about even...sorry for your loss
looking for 1964 topps baseball psa graded 7+
<< <i>I'm no math genius or anything, but I'm pretty sure there were fewer 86 Fleer Jordans produced than 85 Topps McGwires >>
Yeah but if that Jordan even bottoms out at 3/4 of its sale price it still loses $50K
I do applaud the guy for honesty/sincerity.
I have no idea what this card will bring.
I have an 85T vending case - bought it around 1992 - for 400 bucks - wish I had sold it in 1998!
That's the way it goes when you're dealing with a high profile hobby - I take the good with the bad - I try to keep the glass half full.
Does anyone have any idea what this card will sell for?
