Photobucket Picture Upload Problems....Any help would be sooooo appreciated!

I have been using Photobucket for several years and have a few thousand pictures loaded onto it and have never had a problem....UNTIL NOW!!

Everytime I go to upload a picture, I get an "ATTENTION - Upload Failed" notice across the screen. It doesn't even begin the upload. Any suggestions????

Thanks in advance!!

Are you using the mass upload? I occasionally have the same issues..

Try doing it the old school way and that should work.

I am uploading only one 81kb picture. I just had a new hard drive put in my laptop and everything reset. Any chance that something is causing a block that I need to turn off or change?

    Thanks.

Try throwing your laptop out the window.

    Sometimes that works.

Everytime I get good at it, they change something.

    Try the single item uploads.

Clear your computer cache and log in again.

Check your PB-capacity percentage remaining. If it's
over 90% full, I would start culling.

I am trying it using a single 81kb .jpg picture. My PB capacity is at 30%. I have cleared my cache. Still, nothing.

    Clear cache, restart computer.

    Try opening a new account.

If the upload fails, you will know the problem is
likely related to the new hard drive.

    .........

I just uploaded a test pic; so, the PB site is working.

I just uploaded something too and it worked. If you just need it hosted, you can PM it to me and I'll upload it for you

Weird thing is, I can upload from other computers in the house, but it will not from this one. Very much a pain since this is where the scanner is.

I will keep working on it and let you guys know when I figure it out.
  • Perhaps that computer has a connection problem and is only getting part a signal. My 3GO sometimes has problems with pb when it is slow. The thing only hits like 40kb/s tops...and sometimes the 3GO is like dialup.

Check out this page on the computer with the scanner and then one of the other computers and compare.

Also I will repeat what others said on trying the single upload, since you have not confirmed doing it. I understand you are only doing one photo. Default pb is the mass upload, there is a link to the old school upload there as well.
