OK...here's some help...it was NOT a major box office hit, although a major company did make it....like it opened inajor theatres and was on the top ten list. It's not...

1. A war movie
2. A horror movie (per se)

It's an amzing book that came out in the 80's. Movie was not so good. it's a bit of a satire.

Was going to put that, but book was written in like 2000 (threw me off when he said last 15 years), so doubt it's that. I'd guess Shaft?

Psycho was written MUCH earlier, but checked internet and saw that American Psycho was written in 2000. If he means it was Psycho (book), then made into movie (American Psycho), I think both of us should get a GU of his choice for misunderstanding

Just for reference, if it IS American Psycho, I want to point out that I was going to put that BEFORE he gave us one of the actor's names

first of all, there was no misunerstanding. American Psycho and Psycho are 2 completely different sets of books and movies. American Psycho was written by Bret Easton Ellis... was set in NY in the 80's... was about a murderer who 'preyed' on women. Was made into a movie starring Christian Bale. Psycho was, and is a literary classic written by Alfred Hitchc ock. Remember the Bates Motel? Was made into a horrible movie starring Anne Heche a few years back. If you haven't seen it, don't bother

Well, I did a search to find out when American Psycho was written and it came up with a 2000 ed.

What threw me off was when you said book was written in last 15 years (should have said 5)
