I am a tad confused. 2 variations...one has 1970-71 in black the other white. which one is the rarer..I think its the white.
Why does mine say what loooks like the reverse of what its supposed to be? PSA right or wrong?
I also have an sgc 88 with black numbers..... nothing noted on variation color. Was earlier grading not distinguishing the variations?

So it's hard to say if the white is rarer because they never kept track of the variations until the last few years. Also people submitting don't know there is a variation most of the time.

It was printed with the first series cards but only twice on a full uncut sheet while the white version was printed 3 times on a full 2nd series sheet. John
P.S. There probably was a bigger print run for the first series versus the second but IMO not big enough to equal out plus 1st series cards generally got handled more than second series cards for graded purposes.

I didn't know there was 2 series.

FYI Series 1 included cards from 1 to 110 with 22 of them single printed (SP's), including John Hondo and Lenny Wilkens.
Series 2 was cards 110 thru 175 with one double print, the #101 checklist white version that was also printed in the first series.
