That was still pretty amazing that Eberle scored the two goals to tie the game for Canada. Hero of last year, nearly the hero all over again.

an extremely exciting hockey game...especially that first period (I thought someone was going to get killed, the way they were throwing the hits around).

I was also flipping to the Leafs/Panthers game at the same time and the NHL game looked in slow motion compared to the Juniors.

They aren't expected to do much, really. Maybe compete for a bronze. The team is YOUNG and inexperienced when it comes to the olympics but there are some studs on the team. Hopefully they can prove everyone wrong!

    Roster
  • A just result at the world juniors. We outplayed Canada in both games. This team didn't have the superstars of the past,
but a group of kids willing to work hard at both ends of the ice.

Our Olympic team is gritty, not very talented. We'll have to win close games by outworking other teams in order to win medals.

For example, the Russians are more "talented" then us, but I doubt they have the heart that our club has. So the Russians
can outskill us and win, or we can outhustle them to victory. It will be fun to watch.

Canada should win the Olympics. I can't see them losing on home ice.

The preliminary U-20 game between CAN and USA was maybe the best hockey game I've seen in 5 years. Good thing the pipeline is stacked, because the Olympic squad seems extremely lame to me and will be lucky to medal.

Not nearly on the same scale of upset, but from a back and forth heart stopping hockey perspective yes. I'll be shocked if I see a more fun game this decade.

I missed the under 17 tourney. image

    Edit for great pic goraiders.
  • Nothing will ever be better then Lake Placid. There can never be another game in the history of hockey
that will, or can, ever top that.
