The 1943 is a business token, Lurgi is a large german company involved in construction and chemicals etc. They are still around today.
The reverse appears to be commemorating Hitler's birthday.

Ones a medal the other a piece of notgeld, so wouldn't be in Krause.

The one on the left is a piece of notgeld issued, as indicated by the flip, by the province of Westphalia. There's a whole series of these from 50 pf thru 1 Billion Mark. This specimen is not in the best condition, maybe retail of $8-10.

The other seems to be a calendar medal produced by the Lurgi company, showing all of the sundays in 1943. Several key dates are indicated including Easter (Ostern) on the 25th of April (25.4), the Fuhrer's birthday on 20.4(but not a Sunday) and what from my high school German seems to be Heros Memorial Day on 14.3. Not sure of the value, but an interesting piece nonetheless especially for those of us who like calendar medals.

edited to add: Again based on HS German, I think Pfingsten is Pentecost, timing seems about right after Easter.

using Wikipedia I find that the earlier Memorial Day was renamed Heldengedenktag in 1933 thru 1945. It was a significant propaganda event in Nazi Germany. Understandably it was renamed again after 1945 because of these connections.

I also noticed that Erntedanktag is mentioned. Its a German Harvest Festival and was on 3 Oct in 1943.

Here's a link that I noticed while searching online; it has all of the 3rd Reich holidays listed. Heldengedenktag, the Fuhrer's birthday and Erntedanktag were all important days listed.

    linky

So, the calendar medal has both religious and political connections. Lots going on on this medal!

I'm really surprised the Westfalia series isn't in Krause, not even in Bruce! It's a popular series. Here's some more info from an old German price guide (2004):

There are two types of 10000Mk, using Jaeger numbers (a German Krause), prices listed in euro (This from an old 2004 issue of Münzen & Papiergeld, the prices can be a bit high)
    Jaeger N 20a is gilt Cu/Zn, 31.5g, 44.5mm, head in high relief and wide rim - 316k minted. €7.50/ss/vf, 15/vz/xf, 20/vz-st/au, 32/st/unc
    Jaeger N 20b is gilt Cu/Sn, 33.5g, 44mm, head in low relief, narrow rim, 200k minted. €10/ss, 17/vz, 25/vz-st, 37/st

Really like the medal! My grandparents were married at Römerplatz image

Me and my younger brother got ripping drunk at Roemerplatz!! After his HS graduation in '88; he was valedictorian. In any case, it seems this older market square of Frankfurt is a common motif on German coins and bullion.
