My avatar

I've been trying to find out anything about the coin in my avatar. From its size and weight, 1.5mm thick and 4.52 grams of pure Nickel I have always assume that the canadian 5-cents was a likely doner planchet. The problem is tha the 5-cent was minted in Canada not the UK. My question is; do any of you world coin collectors know of any other world coins, British colonial ect of a similar size and weight that might fit the description.
Thanks

Ireland 6 Pence 4.54g 20.8mm
The Ireland 6d is a particularly good fit as they were nickel in 1937 and minted by the UK Royal Mint. Regarding the 10c having previously been silver they were changed Nickel in 1935/36 but were the same smaller size as the silver coin. 1937 did see the introduction of a coin the same size as my coin but due to the increased price of Nickel made of Cupro-Nickel.
Thanks again
Gary
