Either you misread it and it is actually

"1 oz Gold Bar .999 putty"


or you saw an ad for "Swoopo".

I suppose we cannot criticize Swoopo. I leave it as an exercise between you and Google to find out the lowdown.

yeah, must be Swoopo. Certainly an interesting auction site. You really can win stuff like that for $10, but in order to get to that $10 - it represents about 1000 bids, and each bid costs the bidder something like 60 cents payable to swoopo. The key is being the last bidder, but you get sucked in because if you bid 10 times you're in for $6 no matter what, so it keeps you bidding since you're already in for money
