NewP Frankfurt 1859 Thaler

I've been wanting one of these for a while now and is one of several I'd like to collect from the Free City of Frankfurt.
This one has nice detail and is one of the better ones I've seen for the type. Looks a little PL as well, maybe an early strike? If it grades 63 or 58, I'll be more than happy.

even comes with a free fingerprint!

<< <i>Very nice indeed, some say the model was Baron Rothschilds mistress by the way. >>
Heh, I always heard the term 'scion of the Rothschilds', perhaps a more PC way of putting such things...
I had heard this before about the obverse being Rothschild's Mistress and it has been interesting researching this as to whether it is fact or fiction.
I'm not disputing it -but here (see Vol. 12 pg. 36) is an interesting article from the American Journal of Numismatics from 1877 discussing this subject. Perhaps it is lost to History as to who actually sat for the portrait of Francofurtia?
